SITE HOUSTON

ABOUT THE 2015 SITE PROJECT:

On view: Saturdays, 5-9 PM, Nov. 6, 2015 - Jan. 23, 2016

The Washington Avenue Arts District has curated a site-specific contemporary installation inside the honeycombed footprint of twenty-eight renovated grain silos. SITE HOUSTON will feature Houston-based artists responding to the unique challenge of non-traditional space, and marks the grand opening of Houston's newest studio complex, the Silos on Sawyer.

The exhibition was juried by Bill Arning, Director of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and by Jillian Conrad, professor of sculpture at the University of Houston.

The Silos on Sawyer is a creative complex that is soon to be home to 88 working creative studios and cultural organizations in the heart of the Washington Avenue Arts District.
