Throughout my 28-year career in commercial banking, I longed for the day when I would have the time to pursue my passion for art and my dream of becoming an artist. While I loved what I did in the business world, my dream finally came true – it’s a fanciful, fabulous place to be, surrounded by beautiful color and dramatic feeling. My work reflects the logical aspect of my life through my use of such elements as lines and shapes, all the while being moved by nature. I paint in the genre referred to as “emotional abstraction”, primarily using acrylics to create rich color, texture and vibrancy.

I have studied at the Glassell School of Art and under several private instructors in Houston and in Santa Fe, New Mexico where my family and I have a vacation home. Much of my inspiration comes from the awe-inspiring landforms and brilliant light found in Santa Fe. My work has been shown in galleries and other retail establishments in Houston and Santa Fe.
