THE SILOS PROJECT - Documenting Change
The Silos Project is a multi-media photographic installation created by Spring Street Studio artists Syd Moen and Gary Watson that will document the transformation of the Riviana rice facility to THE SILOS, a new arts community in the Washington Avenue Arts District. The installation is designed to be immersive and observational, using 360-degree digital imaging as well as traditional black-and-white analog photography. These processes, which are at opposite poles in the world of photography, will combine and co-exist to provide an experience that is both a detailed visual documentary and a transformative big-picture experience. The Silos Project is not only about the history and renewal of a structure, but also about the state of photography today.
